Good Eats Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 can garbonzo beans, drained and liquid reserved
  • 2-3 tbs tahini
  • fresh herbs (parsley, cilantro, etc)
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • pinch of kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

Process

  • Chop garlic in food processor
  • Add beans & half the liquid
  • Add tahini, herbs, lemon, salt
  • Drizzle in oil until thick

Modifications

  • Roasted red pepper is good when added
  • I usually add one tbs of Sriracha garlic chili sauce
  • 3/4 cup of sun dried tomatoes added with garlic is good too
